ANIMALS AND PLANTS
The Canary Island Date Palm
It is one of the most grown and popular ornamental trees all around the world.
It has got very sweet fruits called dates.
Goats
The Goats were already in Canary Islands when Spanish people conquered them.
Goats are the most important livestock in the Canary Islands
Camels (dromedary)
The first Camels were brought to the Canary Islands from Africa in about 1405.
They were essential in the european colonization.
Nowadays, they are used as a mean of transport on trips for tourists.
